Description

Something is missing from the picture. Maybe a character needs a hat, an object is only half-finished, or one small detail makes the whole scene look wrong. In DOP 4: Draw One Part for Android, you have to spot the problem and draw the missing piece with your finger.

The game is free to download, with ads and in-app purchases, and it doesn’t require any artistic skills. Draw a rough version of the missing part with your finger, and the game tries to recognize what you mean. If you are right, it completes the illustration and moves you to the next puzzle. A scene may look confusing at first, but once you spot what is missing, the answer can suddenly seem obvious.

There is less creative freedom than the drawing mechanic might suggest, though. Most puzzles expect a particular solution. A different answer may make perfect sense to you but still be rejected because it is not the one the game expects. DOP 4 is therefore closer to a visual riddle game with drawing as its input than a drawing sandbox.

Start easy and wait for the tricky puzzles

The first levels are deliberately simple. They introduce the basic idea without a long tutorial and help you understand what kinds of drawings the game recognizes.

Later puzzles become trickier, but the difficulty often comes from figuring out the developer's intended joke or logic. You may know exactly how to draw an object and still get stuck because it is not clear what the picture wants from you. Once you understand the answer, actually drawing it is usually easy.

Hints are available when a puzzle refuses to click. Progress is also saved, making DOP 4 well suited to short sessions. You can solve a couple of puzzles while waiting for a bus and come back later without having to complete a longer stage.

Enjoy its simple cartoon style

The bright cartoon graphics fit the puzzles well. Objects have clear shapes, backgrounds are not overloaded with details, and it is usually easy to understand what is happening in a scene.

Your finger drawing is not simply left on the screen either. After the game recognizes the correct solution, it completes the proper illustration. This makes solving a puzzle feel cleaner and more rewarding than leaving a rough hand-drawn line behind.

Relaxing music plays in the background, and a short sound lets you know when you have solved a puzzle. Nothing here demands headphones or your full attention, which suits a game designed for quick breaks.

Expect plenty of ads

Advertising is where DOP 4 becomes harder to recommend without reservations. Get ready for ads to appear frequently and sometimes last quite a while.

The interruptions can feel especially noticeable because many puzzles are very short. Solving a level in a few seconds and then watching an ad can quickly break the relaxed rhythm of the game. Ads may also be involved when you request hints.

On the positive side, DOP 4 works offline, which makes it useful for travel or places with an unreliable connection. Google Play lists support for Android phones, tablets, and Chromebooks.

DOP 4 or other drawing puzzle games?

DOP 4 belongs to SayGames' larger DOP series. The original DOP: Draw One Part uses almost the same idea: identify the missing element and draw it. DOP 2: Delete One Part reverses the mechanic and asks you to erase something from a picture to reveal the solution.

If you enjoy DOP 4, there are plenty of similar drawing puzzles to try. For example, in Happy Glass, you draw lines to guide water into a glass, while Draw 2 Save 2 asks you to sketch barriers and shapes to protect characters from danger. Draw Bridge Puzzle uses the same simple finger-drawing idea to solve bridge and route challenges.

DOP 4 is more controlled than these games. That makes it easier to pick up, but it also means that creative alternative solutions are less likely to work.

Is DOP 4 worth playing?

DOP 4’s strongest points are its easy controls, cheerful illustrations, short levels, offline play, and occasional lateral-thinking surprises. The biggest drawback is advertising, which can interrupt the game more often than its calm design deserves. The reliance on one intended solution can also make some puzzles feel unnecessarily restrictive.

Still, DOP 4 works well when you want a puzzle game that requires a little thought without demanding much time. You do not have to draw well. You just have to notice what the picture forgot.
